It is wrong to abuse anyone. More generally speaking, it is wrong to sin. No unrepentant sinner will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, whether that person is a Catholic priest, a child, or an LGBTQ+ person.

Sexual immorality is a sin. Playing victim and throwing stones doesn't absolve one of sin. Standing in the midst of a thousand supporting voices also doesn't absolve one of sin.

Even if everybody on earth eventually "accepted" that homosexual sex is good, natural, holy, or anything else, it would still not change the fact that the act is perverse, depraved, and sinful.

God will judge everyone according to what they have done. To those who repent, He will show His Mercy.

In whatever way you were hurt by someone in the Church, I pray for your healing. God bless you.
